Bookitbee, the UK-based self-service ticketing system, today announces a 2nd round of investment.
Led by ARC InterCapital, the investment includes both current investors Jenson and new private investors and has been matched by the government body Scottish Enterprise. It will enable Bookitbee to strengthen its position as a system allowing self-service ticketing across all event types.
Bookitbee’s cloud-based, proprietary system allows event organisers to list and sell tickets online and then manage attendees at the event. The self-service system is designed to offer ticketing primarily to event organisers running events that have been uneconomical to work with using traditional ticketing systems. Organisers can set-up online themselves, sell tickets that are sent out to attendees and then Bookitbee allows event organisers to receive funds to their bank within 7 days of a ticket purchase.
Kenton Ward, CEO of Bookitbee, comments: “It has never been easier to identify and promote an event to a specific audience, yet despite a recent growth in ticketing providers, there are very few who have the technology and setup to be able to address the smaller events market. With this round of investment we are in a position to capitalise on our growth to date and continue to democratise ticketing; enabling the smallest event organisers to offer the same level of professionalism as large events to their ticket buyers”
“We are very pleased to be working with our investors; ARC InterCapital has a proven record in ecommerce investments and understands the metrics involved in promoting a cloud based service. Scottish Enterprise has a great support network and through their network allows Bookitbee access to a wealth of contacts in Scotland”
